Neosoft's QuickMenu 3 is my go-to GUI when I install a fresh DOS install because of these things
1. It works on all my old systems
Thats right, it works on every old system from 8088's to Pentium 3s. I have not seen any real fuss on my 286 and Pentium 2 machines.
2. More Stable
I have seen less fatal errors on QuickMenu than Windows, and it feels like a better kernel
3. Endless moding options
You can skin, modify and even create your own release of QuickMenu because of it's heavy modding tools. You can add an icon pack to extend the option for your game icons. There is a way to import your PCX images to use as 256-Colour backgrounds. You can change the copyright text on the top
4. It connects to my home network
On my Pentium 2 machine, I can connect the Ethernet and get files off the QuickMenu itself, or I can connect a null modem and send Plain Text Email to my 286. Super convenient to have net drivers from the start.
5. It's free
You dont even need to pay a single dollar for QuickMenu, you can even get the serial keys for it online!

I registered QM 3 back in the day.

Some nice functions oither than being just a program launcher.

Still have the boxed set that was sent to me when I did register it.

There's a glitch in the matrix.

Apparently 32-bit is dead and nobody likes P4s.
Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉
