Hi, I got this situation:

1) Installed Sound Blaster 16 PnP drivers from Phil's sb9xup.exe drivers (using SBAWE16.INF)
2) FM Radio Tuner is yellow in Device Manager and unidentified. It does occupy 384H address with IRQ=3 and no conflicts

Custom software Radiator.exe lets you choose address manually, so it can utilize this radio card correctly. It also has presets for Mediaforte cards.

I tried Mediaforte FMD2 drivers, but these are just regular AWE drivers from above, just older version. There is no extra INF file for FM radio card.

I tried installing FMR2, which is only RadioAKTIV software containing VXD and DLL. It does not install any driver.

Before I tried original Vibra16 drivers and it gave me only IRQ conflict issues with sound card and did not install any FM radio tuner driver either.

Where are ANY Mediaforte FM Radio Tuner drivers for Windows 9x?

I am attaching Mediaforte (Sound Blaster Vibra 16C & 16S) drivers as they are not on VogonsDrivers. Next there is 3rd party Czech open-source FM Radio app RADIATOR (source codes on author's website). There is Mediaforte RadioAKTIV app as well.

Because even in BIOS it is detected as separate PnP device in ISA slot. It is not integrated on SB16 chip, rather than a separate co-existing chip on Vibra16 board. It is therefore a separate device. I'm just telling you what is in Device Manager. It occupies some address in memory as well as IRQ=3. Sound blaster has IRQ=5.

Ok, so I found this SB16fm.zip file thanks to some Russian Google Group mailing list.

It contains two folders for Win95 driver: AUDIO and RADIO.

It is VRCD.INF and VRCD.VXD. The inf file is containing these strings, which is what I needed. Provider/Manufacturer is Unknown:
[Strings]
String0="Unknown"
String1="Unknown"
String2="FM Radio Tuner"
ID1="Driver Disk"
MediaClassName="Sound, video and game controllers"

There is also VRCD1.TXT (looks like original INF file) containing only this change:
[Strings]
String0="MediaForte"
String1="MediaForte Produsts Pte. Ltd."
String2="SoundForte SF16 - FMP2"

Now everything is ok and I can use official Mediaforte RadioAKTIV app. Yes, it still does occupy the IRQ port 😀

BTW Manual here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/898176/Medi … e-Sf16-Fmd.html

I'm still fighting with antenna, tried to put a simple jack 3.5mm cable as antenna, but did not hear anything. It should have internal volume control. I can enable line-in in radio app for this card, but then there only noise from line in. But I was lucky enough to source the same MediaForte FM tuner on a single ISA card (might be good for 386 computer). It will have proper Media Forte driver, so it will get recognized by official RadioAKTIV app and I can try that next week. Compare the results.

For now I was lucky enough to get internet radio playing on WinAmp 2.95 in Windows 98. These HTTPS internet radio stations (icecast, shoutcast) still do work hehe.
