I have a tualatin 1400, voodoo 5 5500, voodoo 2 12 mb, 512 mb ram and a yamaha ymf719
If I try to start up champions league 96/97, I just get a black screen, in pure dos mode, and also in windows 98.
Does anyone have a solution?
Just a little update.
I had problems with world cup 98 too with 3dfx, using the fast voodoo 4.6 driver.
Since champions league also didn't work in pure dos mode, it couldn't be just the fast voodoo driver, because dos doesn't utilize that.
But it did gave me an idea. I pulled the voodoo2 card out.
Problem solved. Champions League works. Now I can't use the voodoo2 card, but at least I know it has something to do with it. Probably with the pass through or something.
I have the voodoo2 back in now.
Screen goes black again.
While the screen is on black, I grab the vga cable, and put in directly into the Voodoo5, without pass through.
And it works.
Weird.
Nobody had a clue?
I was able to install it using only the Voodoo5 5500 card. Then I put the pass through back again. And now it works.
Can't get 3dfx to work however this way.
