I found a minor issue with IRQ reporting. I have serial ports 3F8, 2F8 enabled but the interrupts are disabled on the hardware via jumper blocks. Yet HWINFO still reports these interrupts are in use

Does HWINFO actually force the connected card to generate an interrupt or does it just assume if the card is there, it must be using the standard interrupt for that address?

It assumes, like all the other programs out there. They all assume.

edit: at least when it comes to ISA irqs and old DOS hardware info programs..
