I'm developing a ready-made version of updated windows 98, so we can install the system already with native USB support, and all updates until the end of 2008, but I'm going to use a faster and more agile installer, and for legal reasons, I need the User enter your own serial number of windows 98 if, then I need to call that window that does this verification, does anyone know how this happens? Is it part of setup.exe? Is it some DLL I don't know?

Can't you provide an answerfile instead, for unnattended installation ?

Except in that answerfile, you don't provide the serial number ?

I don't use the original installer anymore as it uses an inefficient compression method, the installer I created copies all files in 5 minutes.

You'll find the screen from your first posting in the file: "setupx.dll" -> dialog "607" or "608".
The version of setupx.dll (e.g. 0.101) determines which product ID it's taking, see https://www.betaarchive.com/forum/viewtopic.p … =244436#p244436
