from 1997? Probably a WINDOWS game. DOSBox is a MS-DOS emulator. You cannot run windows games under DOSBox.

It seems I may be mistaken. If it is a ms-dos game, you should install and run it using DOSBox. Check the DOSBox forums for guides, faqs, etc. Also read the readme file that comes with DOSBox.

I think you are right what you have said earlier. Because whenever i use DOXBOX 0.72 it tells me "This program cannot be run in DOS mode".

It's right, I am already running as I have said before but the problem is it is crashing to desktop. I tried compability option but that does not make any change too. Do anyone knows what to do here?

there are none. Can you find if it's possible please ?I am playing the game as long as I do not shoot with rockets. I think there is a bug inside the game

Try playing it in '95 compatibility mode

Though i dunno how to fix those crashes i.e. when you ram into a parachuting pilot

II. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To install the patch, do the following:

1. Copy the file E_ATFG_P2.exe to your ATFGOLD directory.
2. Double-click on the file named E_ATFG_P2.exe.
3. At the prompt, select the directory in which you have
installed ATF GOLD (default directory is C:JANESATFGOLD).
4. The patch will self-extract and install.

III. CHANGES AND ADDITIONS

*** PATCH 2 ***

(This latest patch primarily addresses compatability problems
with Windows 98).

- Multiple fixes for DDRAW problems for Diamond and
Matrox drivers that have problems switching from 16 or
24bit into 8 bit graphics mode.

- Win98 fix for mouse (on a multi-monitor system you could
move the mouse off the game screen easily .. causing the
game to minimize).

- Win98 exception handler fix (Win98 deals with processor
overflows and underflows differently causing the game to
occasionally crash).

- Fix for OSR2 and OSR2.1 versions of Win95. Small fix to
the way a host connects. A bug in the latest versions of
Win95 causes a Host not to find a Joiner if the Host is
the last one in the game.

It has quite a few bug fixes... But since I don't have the game, can't say if will do any good.

Does your version comes with this patch pre-installed?

ATF is a DOS game, but ATF Gold is a Windows game utilizing DirectX.

ATF Gold runs under Win95 or Win98/Me compatibility mode but the mouse gets sticky in the game menus. Here is the fix I made which corrected the mouse bug.
