That's the issue I was referring to above with FRAPS. The game's own screenshot function (default key=F12) does not have this problem.
I'm seeing a 10fps performance improvement with that new WineD3D version. The V-Sync stutter issue that I mentioned may be gone. certain NVCP functions still don't work. Along with AF and AA (fortunately the game has it's own), you can't use force highest refresh. NVCP V-Sync does work, which is lucky because the in-game V-Sync doesn't (pretty sure in-game V-Sync setting is broken even without WineD3D. While you can't force regular AA via the NVCP, you can use it to apply Transparency Supersampling AA.
I just realized that the performance impact when using WineD3D is caused by a CPU bottleneck (I assumed it was GPU), which is the worst bottleneck given how CPU advances slowed to a crawl around 2011.
