For those who're experiencing weird glitches (i.e. Distorted colors on menus and other graphics issues) while trying to play Initial-D: Mountain Vengeance on newer versions of Windows, rejoice, because there's a simple fix that will turn this once "problematic" game into an absolute blast.

It's as simple as going into the"cfg" subfolder into the game's main installation file.....

C:\Program Files (x86)\ValuSoft\Canopy Games\Initial D Mountain Vengeance\cfg (64-bit Windows)

or

C:\Program Files\ValuSoft\Canopy Games\Initial D Mountain Vengeance\cfg (32-bit Windows)

.....and modify the Game Options configuration file with your native display resolution settings, as in:

RES_WIDTH 1920
RES_HEIGHT 1080
RES_DEPTH 32

It is strongly recommneded for you to set the controller to whatever you've got in store. (Wheel, gamepad or joystick). You can also enable antialiasing and automatic gearbox in the "SETTINGS" configuration file. Finally, you can force vSync thorough your graphics card's (either Nvidia or AMD based) control panel if that option isn't available ingame.

Don't forget to set the file's permissions to total (user/administrator) control......and the executable's compatibility to "Windows XP SP3 with administrrative privileges"

Enjoy.
