i dont know if its just from the System specs w/ the combo of using a USB controller and/or the fact it has an Geforce MX4 4000, the strange quirks that start bumping about when you hit 98's Ram Ceiling (512Mb) (though i HAVE installed the ram patch) or that im using the 45.23 Drivers, but theres strange slowdowns when alot hasto be drawn. and the CPU is well past the min Req. ( Pentium III 700Mhz). if it means much when i have a USB mouse connected , 9x has strange random "lag spikes" all of its own on this Gateway Essentials 700
