Has anyone where tried to get some games working on a bootable BartPE DVD?

I really want to get people at the office to play some older games like mechwarrior when we LAN, but getting everyone to install the game is a real pain in the ass. If I could build a bootable DVD that just grabbed a dhcp address and launched the game with whatever crappy old version of directX I need, i think it could work.

You can but it's not worth the trouble. Missing .dll's, DirectX, missing codecs, Having to constantly wait on CD disc reads (unless of course the CD contents are copied to RAM if you have the ROOM) or you are using a flash drive.

You could use Altiris SVS or SandBoxie that would probably be the easiest way. Although I doubt it's legal to give other people copies of games they never bought.....
