Graphics card - Geforce MX 440 AGP. Games - "No one lives forever" and "Aliens vs Predator 2" (both directX 8 games from Monolith)

Problem - Textures on things that move are displayed white.

I think I'm using all the correct software - latest directX for windows 98, latest forceware drivers for nVidia card, unofficial win98 service pack. Inside the nVidia options, I try setting everything to basic settings - nothing fancy. Inside the games mentioned above, I try setting everything to basic settings too.

Tweak3D GeForce FAQ suggests this:

Along those lines, you might want to consider trying older drivers given your particular OS and card. I have a Win98 SE system with a GeForce 4 Ti4200 card, and I generally get good results with the Version 45.23 Detonator drivers (the final Detonator release, I believe). It's a good bet the final ForceWare drivers are optimized for WinXP rather than Win9x in any event.
