There is a thread with a similar subject that was closed because there was apparently some resolution, but the link with that help is dead.
I'm trying to get it running on Win2k and am having video problems as soon as the program runs. Is there a common solution?
the problem is directdraw related -- there's a exe patch that turns off directdraw before the prog runs and re-activates it once its done, but it has a tendency to make x-com even more unstable. just remember to save frequently and you should be fine.
Thanks for the response and info. I had learned about that 'patch' file and even that site, but whenever I try to download the file, I can't get a connection. Dunno what the problem is.
