Seems I'm falling into a pit of failing F1 titles... F1 2000 doesn't do anything for me, even in software mode, just crashes with Event Viewer:
Faulting application name: F1_2000.ICD, version: 1.0.9.0, time stamp: 0x3937d63aFaulting module name: F1_2000.ICD, version: 1.0.9.0, time stamp: 0x3937d63aException code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x000e7389Faulting process ID: 0xbbcFaulting application start time: 0x01d04fc393c8606bFaulting application path: D:\Games\f12000\F1_2000.ICDFaulting module path: D:\Games\f12000\F1_2000.ICDReport ID: d6408777-bbb6-11e4-8309-7824af8a9e0aFaulting package full name:Faulting package-relative application ID:
It's crashing the .ICD due to the SafeDisc DRM on the disc, however if I swap to a no-CD it just crashes f1_2000.exe instead. Any ideas? This is using the 1.09 patch with or without ALchemy.
Moving on to the "sequel", F1 Championship Season 2000, I get the same sort of thing:
Faulting application name: F1CS2000.ICD, version: 0.5.8.0, time stamp: 0x3a0720f1Faulting module name: F1CS2000.ICD, version: 0.5.8.0, time stamp: 0x3a0720f1Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x0011b4a9Faulting process ID: 0x1750Faulting application start time: 0x01d04fc641d9824eFaulting application path: D:\Games\f1cs2000\F1CS2000.ICDFaulting module path: D:\Games\f1cs2000\F1CS2000.ICDReport ID: 83994706-bbb9-11e4-8309-7824af8a9e0aFaulting package full name:Faulting package-relative application ID:
I'm wondering if it could be related to graphics possibly, as the VIDEO.CFG for F1CS2000 has this. I'll compare it against my old XP machine at some point...

Strangely the older, similar engined game by ISI, Sports Car GT, works fine (though that uses Glide to run optimally)...
