Hey guys,
I'm running Windows ME with a GeForce 4 Ti 4800 and 256MB RAM.
I'm having trouble with the video cutscenes in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. They'll play fine for a few seconds, then get choppy. Other games with full video (Westwood RTS games for example) play without a problem.
Otherwise, the game runs like a dream. Any idea what's going on?

Amen brother!
The first year and a half or so I had to reformat my hard drive three times. I've considered many times downgrading to 98SE, but realized that I'll be getting a new computor eventually, so why bother?

are the video files for that game in .bik format? if so, you may need to change some motherboard settings in order to view them without choppiness:

AGP Fast Write - Enabled
CPU to PCI Write buffer - Enabled
AGP Aperture Size - 128Mb
Fast R-W Turnaround - Enabled
IDE Prefetch - Enabled
IDE HDD Block Mode - Enabled

I tried playing JK:DF2 on a WinXP machine a year or so ago and had issues with black blocks appearing all over the place in the videos. Not sure if I ever managed to fix it. I may have just used an external Bink player to re-watch the videos instead :p

Sorry for the necropost, but it seemed on-topic enough.
