Hi all,

Im trying to install the driver for my Sound Blaster Live CT4830 which is available in wdm.

How do i install this on windows 98??

You install it with the installation program, just like any other driver.

But WDM support was only introduced in Win98 SE, so if you are running Win98 first edition, that option will not be available.

I'm speaking under correction, but I believe in parts it also was in 98FE already, although in its infancy and not really usable.
Akin to USB support in Windows 95, which was very very limited also.
Anyway, even if I was right, the other system services needed would likely still be missing. 😅

Edit: A ham and friend of our family, let's call him Tony, always had sworn onto Windows 98FE.
He always insisted that the original, golden 98 was best and that the Second-Hand Edition was slow and bloated.
