Hey,

I'm trying out a windows 7 x86 build in an optiplex that I had been using for xp- I've read posts discussing how one of the primary causes of windows 7 incompatibility vs xp is from an update that removed drm support.

Does anyone know if that incompatibility pre-dates or post-dates sp1? I got images from LINK REMOVED and wondering whether I should install the win7 with sp1 or without.

We don't support so called abandonware here and Windows 7 couldn't even be considered that since it's still supported via ESU.
Checking the release date of SP1 vs the hotfix should provide your answer.
