Do you mean Windows for Workgroups 3.11 or just plain Windows 3.11?

Thank you and it should be part of the original post and title. WfW3.11 instead of Win3.11 don't you think.

Has the OP created a disk from the winwoldpc images or just copied the files to a disk?

Hi again, yeah sorry it's wfw 3.11 I imaged the disk with a floppy imaging tool, I don't remember the name now, it was DOS + GUI and wrote successfully,

I'm just curious if the Dell version disks are different than the ones on winworld. And if anyone happened to have the Dell version they could image disk 2

Slightly off-topic, but back in time, MS offered upgrades (discounted) for Windows 3.0 owners.
The users just had to send in their original #1 disk of a previous Windows (Win 2.x mainly).
(Of course, inofficially, everyone likely back then made a "backup" copy first, so he/she/they could keep using the old version. 😁)

So I guess, as a rule of thumb, disk #1 is most emportant for authentication. Aside from the manual, or better, the COA.
As long as someone has it as an original (working or not) ,
things are fine. 😉
