Hi everyone,

I am desperate to get the Wipeout XL/2097 network IPX patch to work. I have tried both the RIP version and ISO version (burnt on cd or mounted) + the network patch, the game starts to lobby but when I try to host an IPX game it asks for the CD. No help even the CD is in the tray, I have also tried various no-cd patches for the game main executable but doesnt work.

HELP!! I want this game for my retro LAN party 😀

Sorry not being able to help...what you described having done is what I would have tried...
But...tell us about that retro LAN party!
Are there any rules about the hardware allowed, etc? What other games are planned?

Here is a picture of the setup, five identical computers (233MMX,Trio64V+,Voodoo1, 128mb,30gb,Win95OSR2.5). Much of various IPX games on the party list, but one of the most important is missing = Wipeout 2097! 🙁

UPDATE! I GOT IT WORKING 😀 So here are the instructions for future generations 😀 (Win95 environment)

1. Install the game from burned CD (do not install from mounted ISO as the install will be incomplete), I downloaded the ISO from [website removed]
2. Install Daemon Tools 3.47 (Last version for 9X, you also need to install USB update for Win95 prior to installing Deamon tools, you also need IE4 installed (but my Win95 OSR2.5 had this as default)
2.1 You can find the USB update here: https://winworldpc.com/download/c384c38d-6ac2 … 11-c3a6e280947e
2.2 You can find the Daemon tools here: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/daemon-tools … windows-98.html
3. Copy the ISO to your computer and mount it and rename the mounted drive letter so that it's the first CD/DVD station on your computer and enable ALL emulations on Daemon Tools
4. Copy the network-patch to the installation folder
5. Launch the network patch and enjoy! 😀 (I tried only the IPX patch, there are also a TCP patch), I downloaded the patches from [website removed]
