Just crashing on start, with or without patch, even with "force software" mode checked, even with disabled acceleraton for video and sound in dxdiag. Maybe someone managed to run it?
Any error message alongside the crash or just a blank screen?
Did you try running some compatibility mode?

Crash with dialog box, where you can see the usual stuff 'Exception Information'. All compat modes tried - 95, 98/Ме, 2000, Nt4. Same result:)
It's Eidos game, but no support on their site found.
