Hello i don't want to duplicate this topic so i'll post here. I have a problem with Carmageddon on 3Dfx too, under a P3 600 mhz + Intel i440XB chipset + Voodoo 3 3000 + 128Mb RAM.

It's a weird problem, i did a perfect clean install, other 3Dfx games works fine.

But Carmageddon ( with Voodoo patches ) runs smooth..........when it decides to run smooth there are no problems until i close the game.

Then suddenly, for example i close the game i reopen it that everything is becames slow......like takes minutes to go into the menu, and select things. Looks like it happens randomly.

Even to skipping the intro video takes 1 minute.

The race won't start, the game gets slower and slower.........until i have to do CTRL-ALT-CANC to close everything and return to the desktop.

I don't get what could be the problem.

Win98 SE is freshly installed along with drivers too and the CD .iso is mounted with Daemon Tools.
