Some of us at the Vintage Computer forum has used some time to design an ISA board which will be able to provide OPL2 (AdLib) or OPM/OPP/OPZ/OPZII audio to the PC.
At this point we have the prototype PCB designed, but we are in a general lack of builders. Similar OPL2-compatible boards are getting more difficult to find, and they usually sell for quite a lot, which is the main reason why we have decided to make this card in the first place. The design provides jumpers for sellection between 2-op FM chip pinout (OPL/OPL2) and 4-op FM chip pinout (OPM/OPP/OPZ/OPZII). There is also a dual amplifier with dual volume controll (for balance controll) on the board. The I/O address is selectable in steps of 2 from 000 till 3FF. The board uses the YM3412 DAC, which means that the mono signal from the 2-op FM chips are interlached into the required stereo format.
The project is at a standstill untill we have enough builders, that is three or four more. A prototype PCB will be $30 plus shipping. If interested, please post below, send me a PM, or contact user lynchaj at the Vintage Computer forums.
