That and working (low-level) CD-ROM access would open it it up to a lot more titles.

Upcoming 0.60 release will try to get pretty much full realmode support no protected mode support 😀
As for cdrom support, that sapucd guy was working on it for dosbox, haven't heard from him in a while, but let's wait and see if he comes up with something nice.

Well, at least I didn't predict DosBox running everything within the next year and a half. Heh.

Hey, Harekiet -- Full real-mode includes text-mode graphics... 😉

Yes, it’s my fault.

🤣 😀 Hope that game is worth it 😀

Well ansi graphics will be supported.
Writing them at the moment.
But i think support for other character sets will be something that might be a big problem to implement.

Cool - I'm hoping for having the option of either pass-through or using images (subchannel support ALA Pete's file format too?)

I don't see subchannels being a necessity for DOSBox... AFAIK, no DOS games used copy-protection that used the subchannels and I don't think there was any actual use for them outside of copy-protection. Then again, I'm probably wrong, but I haven't seen them being used for anything else.

Yes, it’s my fault.
