Perhaps these will go a short way to getting SB16/AWE32 emulation in DOSBox or similar?

I just thought of this because there are some links to real & protected mode drivers and an SB-SOUND.COM program to emulate AdLib, I believe. here.

Yes, it’s my fault.

I'm not certain how this would help. Seems to me that absconding with Vlad's code for SB16 is a more workable idea.

Oh, absolutely, for the SB16 part of it, but I still think that wavetable MIDI needs emulation. 😀

Finally got my ghetto PC running properly. The crappy onboard S3 video chip can't even do SVGA, though, apparently. (At least, according to my inability to run Win3.1 in SVGA modes it doesn't.)

Yes, it’s my fault.

First : Merry Christmas !!!

Second : May I ask you the fully qualified name of your S3 chipset ?

Uch, I've got no idea. I'd probably need to open up the box and read what is written on the chip to figure it out. I suppose it's old enough that UNIVBE might be able to detect it properly. I'll find a game with UNIVBE on it and try that at some point.

Yes, it’s my fault.
