I've used dosbox before on another computer. now that I've gotten it on this new computer I've got a problem. everytime I type a "\" in dosbox, it displays it as a "]".... obviously a problem for trying to do anything in dosbox. I've tried using other keys to get my "\" out, but it just will not work. any advice on getting my "\" to work? I'm running windows vista so I'm fully expecting other problems to come along, but this one really caught me by surprise.

this problem seems to be exclusive to vista.

Can you provide more details on your system ?
vista version
keyboard type and settings (layout etc in vista)

its whatever the latest vista driver is. they keyboard on the dosbox keymapper shows the "\" to the left of the return key, but if I hit that key in dosbox, it doesn't even type anything. on my keyboard, though, it reads as a quote.
