Hi! I just broke one of the pins off of the YM3812 chip in a piano I was modifying. This forum seemed to come up a lot when I was googling around, so I figured I'd ask you guys if you had a adlib or old soundblaster card that had the chip on it, as I'd love to buy it if you want to get rid of it.

why not search eBay for a Soundblaster 1.0 or 2.0 ??? those have the 3812 chips you need 😀
like that one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Sound-Blaster-8-Bit-PC-XT … id=p3286.c0.m14

although it is a shame to kill a 8bit isa sb ...

OR

just get a 3812 for 25$

Gah, so I jumped in and drilled out the pin, but the chip still behaves oddly. It's on this old Yamaha electric piano, and it makes sound, but the pitches are all wonky, and I'm not one for microtonal music...

So I guess it's safe to assume that noone has a card they can part with, for like $10 bucks or so, even?
