In the last post in my previous thread I said I was looking for an Evergreen Spectra 400 cpu upgrade kit. I made this new thread because I'll need a new riser board for extra PCI slots.

If the evergreen upgrade succeeds, I will place a second voodoo 2 card in my deskpro (connected via SLI). Now, my problem is that I don't have enough PCI slots to insert another gpu. I have 3 PCI slots and 3 ISA slots on the riser board (one is a combo). I want to take out the old riser board and insert one that has 5 PCI slots (I don't need ISA slots). I don't need more than 5 PCI slots because the back side of the PC has only 5 covers I can unscrew. Because my Deskpro is a desktop model, 2 of the PCI slots need to be on one side, and three on the other.

Here are two images of the part of my riser board where it fits in the motherboard. I don't know the name for it, but I'll call it 'connector'.

Is the kind of connector that can be seen on these images the only one that fits in my motherboard? Or do other kinds of connectors exist that would be compatible with my motherboard??

I have not been able to find a riser board with such specifications yet on ebay. Boards either don't have 5 slots, have a different kind of 'connector', or the slots on the board are all placed on the same side.

Do cards I'm looking for (still) exist? Which model(s) could I use? Where could I get one? If someone here has one that they would like to sell, then contact me and we can discuss a deal.

EDIT
Sorry if I seem to be making a lot of posts or topics about hardware upgrades for my deskpro, but I would just really like it to become a decent backup PC. Thanks for your much appreciated help!!!

EDIT #2
My current riser board has 'Compaq' written on it, and the version is 005587-001 Rev B

Are you sure the mainboard/riser card connector are made to handle 5 PCI slots? As for PCI it needs extra signals that are not shared between them.

I don't know. Is there a way to check that?

Companies like Compaq, Dell, HP and IBM etc... all use proprietary hardware so i doubt you will be able to use just any riser board. Try and look for a PCI riser card from either another Deskpro or Prolinea PC.

I've been looking for hours on google, ebay and websites of various hardware resellers, and still I haven't been able to find a riser board with 5 PCI slots, dual-sided, three slots on one and two on the other sided. The closest I came is this dual-sided 4-PCI slot one. I've googled for more than a hundred different part numbers. How can I find the part number of the riser board I'm looking for (if it exists)? Is there a Compaq specialist on this forum? Is there a forum/website/online database that specializes in old compaq hardware?

EDIT
I'd settle with a riser board having more than 5 PCI slots, as long as it fits in my deskpro. I'd also settle with a board having some ISA slots, again as long as it fits and has 5 PCI slots in the right alignment.
