Geforce4 aside. I wonder if I have a certain brand of VGA bios handy and also its drivers, by disassembling them, can I find out all the card's features and specification details? The brand I am after doesn't have enough info although there is some, it is still lacking. So could you please share your insights on this?
Thanks
Jack

Thanks for making my day.

Wrong forum?

Anyway, I'm not really a BIOS editing guru, though I know a little bit about how it can be done. Have you looked at this for yourself? What info has it gotten you?

I never knew how BIOS editing can be done. Can you elaborate?
What I'd like to do is to use my own bios image when running dosbox
I am looking at Avance logic, though a bit garbage, that's what I want.
BTW, when I was reading on VGADOC4B.doc, I saw lots of question marks in between. What is the likelihood of implementing it successfully? Do you know if there is more complete info on this brand of cards?
Any links are greatly appreciated!

I know motherboard BIOS's can be modded with a tool called modbin.

Heres a quick link with some more info 😉

ok. Thanks. I will try to read the bios using this software.
Update:
Is this software meant to mod only Award BIOSes?
I've got a message saying "BIOS version not 6.0"
Thanks
Jack

What, exactly, do you want to do that DOSBox doesn't do already?
