So my analog recording setup is a bit shit, resulting in a more muffled sound. The ZYBO only has a powered headphone output; my camera only has a microphone input. So it's pretty unbalanced.
The DAC actually has a line-out; I could haywire the output over the headphone jack, and then plug directly into the line in of my soundcard to get some better recordings. It's on my to-do list.
But the part of the design that I am most unsure of is the rhythm features of the chip, so the cymbal could be wrong. It is the least understood part of the chip, and I need to setup better testcases. It would also help if I had a real OPL3 to compare to; I've been using DOSBox so the accuracy of that is in question as well.
