It's just Yet Another GM Soundfont and it's still work in progress.

I was bored and so I made this soundfont, it's not quite big unless you unpacked it.
I assume you already have your favorite drumkit so the soundfont doesn't contain any drumkits. (except for certain sfx)

for the demo, I used drumkit from ChoriumRevA.sf2
Demo :

191mb, sf2pack.
no need to unpack, you can just load without unpacking with any bassmidi player/midi driver.

let me know what do you think about this soundfont 😀

Known issues : (24 march 16)
imbalanced volume for Synth Lead stuff
distortion, overdrive guitar has bad loops (?)
missing msb127 presets
missing certain synth pad sfx presets

few things though, the soundfont is no longer loadable by polyphone (says corrupted). i'm not sure why because the soundfont was also made with polyphone. works fine on viena. i've tried making a blank soundfont in viena, copying everything to that blank soundfont and polyphone still says corrupted . does anyone knows why?

wow this seems to have all the SC-88pro patches good job! ChoriumRevA conveniently has the sc88pro drum map thats a good match
its to bad no soundfont synth suports the 88pro advanced FX (although at that point Roland would probly come knocking xD)

For efx, maybe someone that is pro at modulations can do that which i dont understand any of that :p

Let me know if any presets has problems like volume, any feedbacks is appreciated 😀
(Cuz lots of preset and too hard to check it one by one, also polyphone random crashing might mess stuff up a little bit)

ok i think echo drop (102) is wrong (sounds like stacked strings. it should be a choir like sound) and goblin (101) sounds like LFO Horror (101 bank 11 on the 88pro) it should sound like a synth vox with poping FX

shound be easy to find and compare the matching samples with any GM bank

fixed that, maybe. please try.

diff https://www.diffchecker.com/xkrxbmrx

balanced the synth lead volume abit (some still abit too loud and too quiet), fixed preset map mismatch (some unknown preset are put on bank 120), and added some new presets. (and theres still 395 preset yet to be done... 😵 )

So this is SC-88 based or just inspired?

since gs midi sounds way different compared to the original hardware (atleast on bassmidi, haven't tried it on fluidsynth or timidity), i would say its just inspired even though the sample is based on the sc88.

It doesn't seem to work with anything and I cant seem to unpack it can you make it a SfPack or SFark so its more compatible.
