What is the best open-source hypervisor to host a Windows 95 Virtual Machine?

That depends on what the goal is. Does it need to be open-source, or just free? Is there some reason it needs to be a hypervisor, or is less-accurate emulation sufficient? Is this about running games that require hardware 3D acceleration, or just gazing in wonderment at the interface for ten minutes? Does it have to be Windows 95 in particular, or will a later version suffice?

And of course: what have you tried so far, and how did you find it to be inadequate?

Or is this just about asking random questions?

What? 😲

Hypervisor = VM software, like for example VirtualBox, VMware 😉

I see, thanks. I was just a bit shocked. 😅
Because of Windows 95.

That reminded me of that accident in a PC store years ago (true story).:

I was going to buy a pack of 1,44MB diskettes,
but ended up saying "I'd like to buy a pack of 5 1/4 inch floppy disks".

By coincidence, the nice old dude at the counter got big eyes, struggled for air and said "Youngster, you almost got me a heartattack! Sorry, we don't have them anymore."
