I also have a couple 3.2Ghz Xeons on order and will run benchmarks before I upgrade to the LGA 2011 setup.

I want to see some pics of this build, sounds awesome. 😁
Still waiting on parts. Two of the drive bay adapters arrived yesterday. Still waiting for the 3rd as well as the second 3.2Ghz XEON.
I will post pics and possibly a video.
Got the other 3.2/1M/533 CPU and found a "scrap" lot that had at least 2 of the 3.2/2M/533 CPUs and won the auction as the only bidder so those are on the way now as well.
The CPU cooler also arrived. Getting close to actually being able to do some tests with the 2.8 and 3.2Ghz CPUs with some GPU... I wonder how a 5950U would do... But I want to test something with XP that I will be able to have a mostly similar GPU in the x79 board... Maybe a 6800GT... Hmmm. I should also have an X850XT PE in both AGP and PCIe.
Any other suggestions?
7800 gtx gto gt etc is this a hybrid. If pure xp rig skys the limit 960.. I read recently that ati cards retained fog in nt drivers on newer cards.
Right, but I want to test the dual xeon setup vs the x79 setup with the same-ish cards...
As for what the x79 setup will get... I was planning on maybe dual HD7970 if I have room to cram them in there.
I don't have any 9 series Nvidia cards and will not be getting any until the price drops like a rock.
I do have a Tesla K40, but I don't know how I would cool it plus I would also have to have a second card to output the video signal...
The last of everything I ordered finally showed up a few days ago.
Only thing I really have left to figure out is the power supply and the display.
The stock one is only 1024x768 so that is a bummer. Was thinking it was 17" but I measured it just now and it is only 15" Now I just need to find a higher resolution screen I can use. Maybe a 1400x1050 or 1600x1200.
I might even have an old laptop that has a 15" screen that has the 1400x1050 resolution. I would much rather have 1600x1200 though.
I really need to just go ahead and open up the display housing to see how much room is in there to see if I can cram a 17" in there though the 1400x1050 and 1600x1200 resolutions screens seem easier to find at 15" than at 17".
