So, a while ago I won an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro on Ebay. It was super cheap. I've seen regular Audigy 2 ZS's sell for more.
Who the hell lets an auction end at 8AM? The very same day another Platinum Pro was auctioned for 60€ in the evening.
I didn't bother to test it yet, because my old Cambridge Soundworks system did need a repair. Now that it's working again, I finally got around to test it.
First I tested my regular ZS's. The retail version with golden connectors. Got three of them for 1€ + 5€ shipping each. All untested and potentially broken. But they did work fine.
The SB0360 card itself works fine as well, but I can't power on the external box.
At first I forgot to plug in the floppy connector. Didn't came to my mind, that this might be necessary. Thought the connector might be for something different, but a quick Google search revealed it. After I plugged it in, the problem did remain. Driver reinstall didn't solve it either.
I have an unknown device in the device manager. Is it because I installed the wrong drivers? Or because I can't power up the device via the remote? Maybe the remote is broken? A new battery didn't help either.
I did use Win7 for the testing. Drivers are SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0017.exe from the Creative homepage.
