Hi, so I got myself one of these VGA switches: https://aliexpress.com/item/1005002135911736.html
I've used it to hook up my Win98 (with a GF FX 5500 + 3dfx Voodoo2) and WinXP machines to an LG Flatron 774FT CRT monitor. Although this setup works mostly fine, there's one small hitch - once I've hooked my Win98 machine to it, I can no longer change the refresh rate for the Voodoo2 in the display settings (image capture attached:

), it only allows me to set it to 60hz, and the maximum resolution is 640x480. The refresh rate settings for the FX 5500 all work fine. Is there any workaround?

Win98 rig: Athlon XP 2500+/512MB RAM/Gigabyte GA-7VT600/SB Live!/GF FX5700/Voodoo2 12MB
WinXP rig: HP RP5800 - Pentium G850/2GB RAM/GF GT530 1GB
Amiga: A600/2MB RAM
PS3: 500GB HDD Slim, mostly for RetroArch, PSX & PS2 games

What does device manager show for your monitor when going through the switcher? Sometimes using a switcher or a splitter will make win98 swap to the "Default Monitor" in device manager. I recently had to manually swap it back to "Plug and Play Monitor" to get my resolutions and refresh rates back in the display settings.

And that seems to be the case here! I've even downloaded the proper drivers (well, mainly the .ini file) for the Flatron and I can now change the refresh rates for the Voodoo2. 😁 Thanks!
