I have an old Packard Bell Legend that I am trying to restore. It has a single slot on the motherboard with a riser card that has PCI and ISA slots. I can’t seem to get it to come out of the slot. I’m already using enough force that I am afraid I’m going to break something. There are no visible signs of anything like corrosion around top of the slot. Anybody have any ideas on how to get it out?

Is it anything like this? - https://youtu.be/kfNpKFi-mRg?t=214 - if so it could be because the riser has a double-depth EISA style connector, and those do require more force to remove. Try the technique seen in the video.

If it's just stuck in the slot, I would spray it down with CRC 2-26 contact cleaner with lubricant (and let it soak for a while) then try removing it.

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?

Thanks for the info everyone. Upon further inspection it is an EISA slot. I just went for it and used more force than I was comfortable with and eventually got it out. Btw it is a Legend 408CD. My first system as a kid so that’s the reason for the restore.
