What are the markings on the pcb? Usually these will be enough to ID a motherboard of that age.

the only markings i can find on it are

lite on 20V0

but i cant seem to find any info

The 'Spider' sticker was most likely added by a reseller. The board itself looks to be an Aristo AM-535.

I suppose it came out by several manufacturers. I wonder if the name "pc partner" has anything to do with pc chips...

I'd suspect Kadatco was a reseller rather than a manufacturer... there were a lot of little outfits that sold generic motherboards with their own name on the box.

And yes, Aristo and PC Partner are both part of the PCChips (well, actually Hsing Tech) family. There are, literally, a couple dozen different names that all fall under the same company.

thanks every one now i know what it is. i can now have fun playin with it this weekend .the video card that came with its helped me a lot its only an s3 trio but ive bin after one for a while now and there silly money on ebay.

I know this is an old post but I have acquired the same motherboard AM-535 but I'm struggling to find the chipset drivers....to get the usb working any help would be much appreciated.

Assuming that you're using Windows 98, you'll want to use an older version of the 4 in 1 drivers. Here are the 4.17 Via drivers.

The Via VPX drivers predate Windows 98, so it generally works after you install 98 with the default drivers, but usually there will be improvements with the Via drivers. With such motherboards and Win98, I usually use USB almost exclusively for USB drives, you'll need the NUSB drivers for that.
