additional. a 386sx only supports up to 16MB or RAM, so try to find some FPM sticks of 1, 2, 4 or 8 Meg size

Thanks a lot, I'll check tomorrow in other stocks!

Thanks a lot! Here is pics of my motherboard which is not booting..
386sx 20, ram 72pin edo, trident 8900c VGA chipset and acc micro 2036 chipset.
Yet I only have 3 long beeps when there is no ram, but nothing on the screen unfortunately..IMG_20240330_213731.jpg.

Wow! That sure looks to be the very same motherboard, just a tad faster CPU - impressive! Would you be interested in selling it?

Possibly but before I would need to make it work! Post card ordered and will check for corrosion ñext week!

Very positive! It would mean the world to me to be able to buy it and to once again make my first ever PC come to life. And I would buy it as is, even if it does'nt boot 😀 Please let me know after you've had a look at it. Best of luck!

I found an image where mine shows the full motherboard (with the ISA riser card, only the DB25 was desoldered since is was covered in corrosion). I'm still amazed there are another one out in the wild there.

As i mentioned, I'm interested in buying it as is, just let me know 😀

Actually I will be pleased to offer it to you ! I'll keep you updated on my attempts to make it work and worst case scenario would send it to you unrepaired..
Next steps: fpm ram, replace pram battery and check for damaged traces...

Thank you so much! This means a lot to me.

I have searched long and far for some additional information on the web but without any success unfortunately and the manuals we had when we got this way back only included the ones for MS-DOS and nothing about the computer it self 🙁

So here is a more detailed update!
- first, I had to clean traces around the pram battery, since oxydation particles were creating contact around the io controller

IMG_20240411_233553.jpg

- then a pin of the graphic chipset was bent and probably creating a short to the nearby pin

IMG_20240411_233536.jpg

- finally thanks to a POST card I was able to find a recognized simm barrett

IMG_20240411_233556.jpg

it looks like LG frm 4mo ram...

I'm gonna solder a lithium pram battery and varnish some parts of the pcb, and then Doigan I should be able to send it to you. Could you send me your address?
