Am looking for the full manual for this card. It has 6 jumpers but only find info on W5 and W6 which set the card address, Have looked thru DTC website thru archive org and it has some docs for the card but not the full manual, any help appreciated !

edit: found this elsewhere but have no clue what W1 thru W4 do
Address W5 W6
C8000 2-3 2-3
CC000 2-3 1-2
D8000 1-2 2-3
DC000 1-2 1-2

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Thank you very much ! I went thru about 10 different old archives last night and not one of the bulletins would load. Ok so W1 thru W4 are not really documented as to what they do, a close inspection of the card it appears that W2, 3 and 4 go to ISA pins but will have to use DVM to make sure. The card I have has BIOS EDPT10A paper label so maybe one of the first editions.

Any chance you could upload that ROM? Is it 16KB or 32KB?

I got these roms uploaded:
DTC 1181 EIDE Bios v1.2 LBA Support 32KB Rom - http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=2095
Bios strings:
EIDE22A 04/02/98. (C) COPYRIGHT 1996-1999 DTC Data Technology Corporation
DTC YEAR 2000 (Y2K) Management BIOS Y2K12A 03/08/99, Address C8000H

DTC 1181 EIDE Bios v1.3 LBA Support 16KB Rom - http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=2087
Bios strings:
EIDE22A 04/02/98. (C) COPYRIGHT 1996-1999 DTC Data Technology Corporation
DTC YEAR 2000 (Y2K) Management BIOS Y2K13A 05/17/99, Address C8000H

Looks like they both have the same EIDE code. Looks like it is supported by this driver:
DTC EIDE Drivers v20 - http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?file … menustate=56,55

Looks like V1.3 has slightly newer Y2K support.

I have a 1181 with the v1.2 32KB rom. I tried putting the 16KB v1.3 rom on a 32KB 27c256 EPROM but it didn't work. I probably should have doubled up the ROM image.

Yes can do that ! Not sure what size (I thought I had dumped it but no can find 🙁 )
And thanks for the others (think I had 1.3 but not sure). Got to dig it and the TL866 out, might take a few hours or a day ;p
Added: nope just found the DTC1181, it is a TI 27c256-15 EPROm (UV type) so 32kx8....
added2: you will find this really weird ! Inside is:
NCR SDMS (TM) V3.0 PCI SCSI BIOS, PCI Rev. 2.0.........NCR53710...........................NCRPCI-3.04.00 from 0000 to 3FD6 then zeros to
EDPT10A 11/23/94. (C) COPYRIGHT 1994 DTC Data Technology Corporation from 4000 to 61DF, bottom part is all zeros
odd !! so this one adds both scsi bios support and large IDE support afaik, maybe the A part means added NCR scsi ???
I did test it back in about 2016 on a 386 and DTC bios came up ok, think it was with a small IDE HD (less than 1Gb) and the scsi bios did not have show (like Asus boards where if you do not have the NCR 710 pci card the scsi bios gets skipped). I Need to keep better notes !!

Curious to try one of these EIDE/Y2K ROMS. I have been using a combined image of the "DR2000" Y2K BIOS that is copyright Phoenix Technologies and XTIDE on a single EPROM. This could be a nice alternative since it has a driver with it.

Well, after a solid 6 hours of sleep and a cup of coffee, I suspect that the 1.6a might be older than both the 1.2 and 1.3 versions. I'm not willing to spend $35 just to confirm that it is the same as the "Enhanced IDE BIOS EIDE16A 10/28/96" that we have here:

I just went on an ebay spree and picked up this card. I'll report back when I get it what's in the EPROM.

Exciting! Worst case is you end up with a serviceable 32KB EPROM & ISA card. Best case it is you found a rom that supports LBA48.

Yeah I've been tinkering around with option rom card designs so I've been collecting these EPROM ISA cards, usually in the form of Y2K cards. So it's a win for me either way. Would be nice to contribute a hitherto unknown option rom. They accepted my low ball best offer 🤣

Yep, that's exactly what's on the EPROM 🤣
