Wouldn't Heretic 2 be playable with one of those Doom source ports?

Yes, your right! I just found out that you have to use something like zDoom.
Looks like a pretty easy install. 😁

I think this thread should be renamed into Hexen, instead of Heretic 2. Since even though Hexen is a "sequel" to Heretic, then the real Heretic 2 came years after Hexen.

Update! I loaded zDoom for Doom and it works great...Wow.

As far as Heretic 2, all I did was restart my PC and the sound was fine....Wierd. 🙄

Try using dosbox. Fixed full throttle sound problem 4 me.
