when i play future shock i get no sound, i get music in the demo( but not weapon gunfire), would anyone know the root of the problem?

Chances are the IRQ of the sound card is set to 5 instead of 7. Look for a file called SETUP.EXE, INSTALL.EXE or SOUNDSET.EXE, run it through DOSBox and configure the sound card properly.
Terminator comes with a nice set up program that let's you test the sound before starting the game and it nearly always detects the right settings correctly.
Thanks for the help guys the sound is now working, but i have another problem, the game crashes randomly and pauses when im too close to an explosion or when the explosion is complex, i am using dosbox 0.70.

Because it says on the future shock dosbox page that it is most compatible with that version
Unlikely. Use 0.72.
Bad luck for you then. Feel free to continue using 0.70 and be happy with random crashes.

Well i have had no crashes, so that is good, but i have really long load times and when i destroy enemies the game pauses, would you have any idea what is causing this?
Perhaps DOSBox is not running fast enough - have a look at this:

Future Shock is a quite demanding game, using nasty programming tricks.
