Ok, I have a question, and just need some pointers here. I just tried to play a bunch of cmf files, using good old playcmf, and, as far as I can tell, it doesn't support something like, playcmf c*.cmf. So, next thought, let's do a for loop, you know, for %f in *c*.cmf) do playcmf %f... Pproblem? there doesn't seem to be a for command in dosbox, but hopefully I'm mistaken? If not, anyone got any workarounds? something on simtelnet or something?

thanks!

The first thing that comes to mind is 4DOS, which apparently runs under DOSBox.

indeed it does. thanks! Seems to work just fine for what I need, and in the process, I learnt that 4dos is now open-source and freeware. cool!

Attached is a little something that you might wanna try, a frontend for PlayCMF. I've used this freebie for almost two decades now 😀
