Not long ago, I built a computer based around a K5-200 and it had a Virge video card and an AWE32 audio card and my favorite puzzle game, KGB (also known as conspiracy) outputted incredibly nice sounding music. However, my Micron box with the same card simply has the game output audio through the AWE's OPL3 chip which doesn't sound nearly as nice. I can't figure out how to force the (apparently) midi soundtrack to go through the AWE32 EMU8000 synth but for some reason, on that k5 setup running Win98, the music went through AWE and sounded better than a proper MP3.

It was a ceramic clad K5 200 (well, PR-200, it actually ran at a lower clock rate) plugged into some obscure Super 7 board made by Asus.
