When I go to fullscreen the Dosbox has a large blank area
on top and bottom. Anyway to remedy this. The new
Linux xorg drivers seem to be the start of the problem.
Old drivers were stretching fullscreen OK.

Well, what output are you using? Try a different one than the one you're using now. Overlay works best for me.

Overlay with aspect=true works for graphic but not text screens.
The old xorg drivers just worked with output=surface for
everything. Unnecessary upgrade at this point.

I think this has always been this way, across all platforms. I've seen some builds that "fix" it, so I'd imagine it's probably a simple option you can change before you build it.

You could also try the OpenGL modes, I don't recall but I believe they do scale text screens as well.
