Which memory configuration do you have? For the 8 MB model, no update is necessary.
For the 4 MB model:

Version 1.62 appears to be the latest (as of 1999):

(Click the download button and try at your own risk)

That's a good bit of detective work. 😀 Looking at that old archived diamond mm webpage, there's something "pleasing on the eye" about it - it has a nice and simple retro 90s look to it. The links don't work, which is a nuisance, but finding the filenames to these updates and patches is more than half the battle.

Yeah I always went to their site back in the day for support since I own a bunch of Diamond products. Always simple to navigate through, never anything overly flashy. I often refer back to their old pages in case I need to look up some info on their classic products, since such info is long gone from the current site.

I miss the old Diamond. Too bad S3 killed them off. The new one just doesn't have that vibe of innovation and uniqueness that the old one was known for.

i found the 1.82b revision at ftp.tcrc.edu.tw/Hardware/Diamond/display/viper/viper_v330/flash182b.zip
but.. what the hell someone put a 486 and a riva 128 togheter? nonsense!! its a waste of vga. riva 128 only realize its full potential with pentium II class machines.

I think that that doesnt matter, this bios is only for 4MB cards.. I think 8MB versions came later and had the right updated bios from manufacturer. If it was specifically for AGP / or PCI they already had mentioned on there website.

~ At least it can do black and white~
