Found something interesting in a box of bits today. This appears to be a book giving advice to government ministers about these strange things called computers that were slowly becoming more common. As you can see from the scans attached this book was written in 1965 and entered into the "Conservative Research Department" in 1967 ( note the stamp on front cover!)

A passage toward the end was especially intriguing given that we've all mostly grown up with computers and have never known a world without them. Juxtaposing the words written almost 50 years ago against the current world where computing has become commonplace is thought provoking stuff (at least to me!)
