Can someone please explain to me how "family sharing" is better than downloading a demo? When a family member shares a game, they only get a limited time trial after which they are automatically directed to the Marketplace to purchase the game if they want to continue playing. How is this better than just emailing someone and telling them to download the demo?
Demo is often restricted in terms of features. This family sharing is the whole game with everything enabled. It makes you able to test the game alot better in both single player and multiplayer.
Anyway, looks like this feature will still be coming for the downloadable games sold on the Xbox. I also predict that digital games will be sold with more features (skins, DLC, etc) to get customers to go digital.
That "Heartbroken MS employee" is still talking with his corporate-friends' mindset. First, arrogance and defiance, and now? If not for PS4's unveiling message, those at Micro$oft would have remained as the former.

According to MS family sharing was never time limited.
No independent game developers too
