Music looping over FMVs problem

Okay, legitimate problem this time I promise.

I keep getting the title screen music playing over the top of the opening FMVs and when I exit the game and go back to the desktop. I'm playing with an original Tomb Raider CD. I also tried making an ISO of it but it made no difference.

Here's what happens exactly.

1) Start GliDOS
2) Start Tomb Raider
3) Skip or watch FMVs
4) Main menu appears, music starts playing.

Then either

5) Start a game, music stops then immediately starts again and plays over the opening FMV
6) Exit the game, at which point the game exits to windows and the music stops then immediately starts again, playing on the desktop until I close GliDOS completely.

Any ideas how I can fix this irritating problem? I'm on Windows 8.1.1 Pro x64. Thanks.

Are you using normal TR FMVs, or have you made Glidos play the HQ ones?

Ok, are you using the audio pack, or have you added the missing tracks to the game CD image (made a new mixed-mode CD compilation)?

Ok. Let's try this:

Open your CD burning software (Nero or something, I use Nero 7). Start a new Mixed-Mode CD compilation. This type of compilation stores 2 types of data: files which you can access using a PC, and music, which you can play using any cdrom device (yeah, Hi-Fi system too).

There should be 2 sections: "data" and "audio". Copy everything from the Tomb Raider CD to the "data" section, and copy the mp3 files from the audio pack to "audio" section. If needed, set the program NOT to put 2-second pauses between each audio track.

Then, burn the compilation as a .cue/.bin CD image file. If your program doesn't support saving .cue/.bin files, you can use an image converter, like MagicISO.

Go to your Glidos --> Dosbox folder, find the .conf file and open it with the notepad.

Scroll all the way down to [Autoexec] section. In this section, add this line:

imgmount d "e:\games\TR1\TR1.cue" -t iso -fs iso

Where D is the letter that Glidos and Dosbox will use as a cdrom drive.

Try this and see what happens. If you find the music way too loud, add another line under imgmount:

mixer cdaudio x:y

Where x:y are numbers (percentages) of the left and right channel, respectively. In my case, it's 50:50, which means 50% volume of the left speaker and 50% of the right speaker.
