ZSNES crashes DOSBox often, because of the problems with pagefaults.

it crashes with:

Exit to error: Pagefault didn't correct page

Why run ZSNES in DOSBox? Aren't there ports available for most of the same platforms as DOSBox?

ZSNES starts, but DOSBox crashes often when you load a game, regardless of the core.

Why bother when the newest ZSNES runs on windows xp and linux?

Loading works fine here, didn't crash a single time.
Try to replace the cwsdpmi with a different
version, and be sure to mount a c-drive (or not).

Why is this silly? Are windows and linux the
only OSs out there?
Maybe it helps tracking some bugs?

zsnes uses SDL just like DosBox, so it should run wherever dosbox runs.

Of course you are right, tracking bugs is nice, but the ultimate goal is to _play_, and using a native port is easier, faster and generally more enjoyable (screen resolutions, hardware acceleration, etc.).

I think zsnes dos is the only one with a debugger yet. And since dosbox can run on mac and zsnes can't ... well ... this is only one example, i'm sure there are more.
