Hello, my fellow geeks!
Let me make your day a little better by showing off this very standard 486 computer from its heyday. I have also put together a video which I will link to below.
Now, Brick is probably a familar name to anyone growing up in Norway with a fair interest in computers. The school I went to as a kid used to have many of these .. bricks. As far as I know, their customers could order a specific build or go for one of the common alternatives.
Personally I really like the rounded-off corners of this case, kind of reminds me of how the boxy cars from the 80s slowly turned into somewhat rounded off on the edges on successing models in the 90s.
Pretty run-of-the-mill here. 486 DX2 at 66 MHz, 16 MB ram, Cirrus GD5426 VLB video card and an SB16 in the bottom.
Here a view of the place at the moment.
The observant observer will observe the other Brick sitting here!
aaaand the video!
Hope the video isn't too long and boring - please feel free to comment so I can improve on future presentations! 😀
