I got ya fam:
I'd wager the drive will work again if you replace the 1k resistor in the near center of the board. The rest look to be regular decoupling caps. They would be very important in the lower right corner of the image where the actual analog portion of the drive is, but for the digital part it should work without a few of them.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Looks like it would be a good idea to replace a capacitors near this 1kOm resistor too, they seems to be damaged.
Can you tell me more about analog portion, I am not very familiar with a SCSI HDD architecture.

That missing tranny is actually marked "SS". Looking it up is is an N-channel mosfet.

As for the caps, I'd snag a cheap mlcc capacitor assortment and just sort of eyeball it. Just choose the one closest in physical size at 16v
