I have a Voodoo 2 card that when it’s booting the BIOS detects it and says the IRQ is NA. When Windows 98 boots it detects a multimedia device and asks me for drivers. I install the drivers and it lists the card in Device Manager properly. Except when I go into display properties it says, “Voodoo 2 card not found”. The only game I tried so far, Half-Life, didn’t detect it under Windows 98 either. It’s also a fresh install of Windows 98. I put two different Voodoo 2 cards in there and those detected fine. I also tried two different PCI slots. I assume the card is just bad, but I figure I’d just check to see if anyone else has any ideas. So weird everything detects it, except for when it’s not detected. 😀

"_glideInitEnvironment: glide2x.dll expected voodoo^2, none detected"?

Yes, that's what I'm getting. I tried looking for bent pins and missing parts and couldn't see anything.

I have replaced my Voodoo2 with this glitch. So - not sure about bent pins etc...

I pretty much went with that it’s a dead card. I guess I’ll be in search of another one. 😀
